Garrett Advances

No more Sunday morning nursery for Garrett. Today was his first time in Sunday School and Tiny Tots.

He was not very happy to get dressed for church.

But when we got there, he followed me right into his new class. He put his money in the little offering bank. He nodded yes when his teacher asked him if he wanted to take the toy trucks over to the mat and play.

He didn’t even look back at me once.

I lingered a little longer than needed, then told his other teacher, I guess I’ll be going now.

I was hoping he wouldn’t cry, but I guess I found out that I secretly did want him to. It made me feel unneeded. He could have started his new class last month, but I didn’t know if he was ready yet. Turns out, he was more ready than I was.

He is growing up, and that’s a good thing.
